Yomi Perry performs in CRASH playing the role of Maria opposite Brendan Fraser and Sandra Bullock as their housekeeper.
Maria plays a catalyst in several touching scenes with Sandra Bullock and Brendan Fraser causing them to accept another part of social structure in life, by releasing their prejudices, beliefs, and embrace love. She interrupts her bosses during an argument after having been through a traumatic experience causing them to recognize their actions and bad behavior. Sandra Bullock continues to have a difficult time adjusting from the trauma and ultimately hurts her ankle on the house stairs. After calling her only true friend she's entrusted her love and family, denies her help. But, Maria doesn't think twice to take her to the emergency room and nurse her with love at home, no matter how bad she has talked about her. This gently awakens her boss into a truth that "Maria is her best friend" touching the hearts of the audience and perhaps shedding a few tears of joy in this high impact action movie.
